Installer Certification Schemes

Correct installation of fire protection products is vital if they are to perform as intended and provide the specified fire performance. Incorrect product selection and poor installation can lead to system failure in a fire situation and potential loss of life, property, stock and business interruption, as well as, the inability to obtain insurance cover in future.

To be effective in preventing or controlling the spread of fire, or for protection of structural elements from the effects of fire, these products need to be installed correctly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions within their approved field of application. Failure to do so can compromise fire performance with consequences for life safety, property and commercial risk.

Our installer certification schemes together with our product certification provides a robust system that gives confidence to specifiers, contractors, enforcement authorities, regulators, and end users that proven products, together with correct installation, will achieve the required level of fire performance.

The IFC Certification Quality Mark enables installer companies to demonstrate the superiority of their installations.
